Author/Historian David Gordon on the
History of the Carmel Bach Festival

David Gordon was a central and popular figure at the Carmel Bach Festival for thirty seasons. He served as tenor soloist, Master Class director, lecturer, Director of the Chorus, Festival Dramaturge, and supertitle translator.
In 2014, David published Carmel Impresarios, a detailed cultural biography of the amazing duo who founded the Festival in the 1930s. The book is also a definitive history of music and theater in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in the early 20th century. (more info)
